The Brooks Group hosted our inaugural Revolutionize Your Business training May 17-19, 2016. Attendees ranged from a Managing Partner of a mergers and acquisitions company, to an Executive Director of a non-profit education foundation that supports the musical educations of children of incarcerated parents, to a Senior Director for Field Leadership training for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Over the course of the 2 ½ day program, attendees enjoyed interactive classroom instruction to support building their Strategic Business Plans, private guided tours of Brandywine Battlefield and Valley Forge National Historic Park, a helicopter tour of the Battlefield to ensure they could see the “Big Picture”, as well as networking opportunities.
A favorite activity of the program, participants enjoyed private helicopter tours of the battlefield.
A Customized Curriculum, Ideal for Leadership or Management Retreats is available:
Topics you select may include the list below, or can be built from scratch to meet your unique business needs:
- Strategic Thinking & Planning
- Leadership and Leading through Adversity
- Effective Communications
- Driving Innovation into Your Business
- Counterattack: Regaining the Initiative from Your Competitors
- Value Based Negotiations
Our inaugural program focused on Strategic Thinking & Planning, focusing on these critical but often overlooked skills. Participants learned how to implement an issues-based strategic planning process, to ensure they focus all resources on overcoming their barriers to business success. Critically, participants also developed their Executive Summary – a concise version of their strategic plan that can be concisely delivered for when those career opportunities present themselves.
Learning from History
As the program is inspired by the Revolutionary War, we enjoyed excursions to both the Brandywine Battlefield and Valley Forge National Historic Park, where re-enactors explained how George Washington and the troops used communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills during the war effort. The helicopter ride (see image above) to see the battlefields from a new perspective proved to be a highlight of the program!
Revolutionary War re-enactors (Redcoat Light Infantry and Continental blue coated soldier) provided private, guided tours of Brandywine Battlefield and Valley Forge National Historic Park.
