About the Course

The Brooks Group’s upcoming Account Management Excellence 2.0 training event will take place on November 8th and 9th in Key West, Florida. Participants will spend the full two-day session at the Key West Marriott Beachside Hotel attending lectures, working on course material, discussing course topics, and networking with their peers.

The training program features talks from three distinguished guest speakers from the pharmaceutical industry:

  • Dr. Maria Lopes
  • Craig Caceci
  • David Larsen

These speakers will offer unique perspectives around payer dynamics, trade, PBMs, insight from a chief medical officer perspective and more.

This course is designed to build on skills acquired in our Excellence in Account Management program. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to complete that program first.

Course Objectives

This key account management training program focuses on teaching participants how to leverage any account manager’s most useful tool: the value proposition. The course’s blended learning approach gives participants the ability to focus their efforts on a single high-value account, ensuring that they leave the course with actionable strategies that are specifically relevant to work.

The course begins by examining emerging trends in the U.S. healthcare market as outlined in the latest pharmaceutical market research reports. Special emphasis is placed on how AMs can capitalize on these trends to better serve existing and future customers.

Once participants have a grasp of current market needs, they are challenged to position their product as a solution to those needs. Each participant will develop a sales pitch that includes a succinct value proposition for the account they have chosen to focus on. They will then workshop that proposition, sharpening their approach with feedback from their facilitator, their peers, and the three expert guest speakers.

By the end of the course, participants should not only have a better grasp of healthcare market trends and account management fundamentals but also a ready-made sales strategy to help them win more business from one of their key clients.
